Funeral service for Robert Ragland, 57, was held Sunday, April 14, 2024, at
1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ethan Rouse officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. Ragland died on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Cullman Regional Medical
Center. He was born May 5, 1966, in Illinois, to Billy Ray Ragland and
Sharon Faye Bryan Ragland.
He was employed by Rehau, as a plant worker, prior to his passing. He was
an avid fan of NASCAR, was an Alabama football fan, and a Dallas Cowboys
fan. He was a giving person even in death, he was an organ donor. He loved
his family, friends and co-workers and will be terribly missed.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister: Donna Lynn Ragland.
Survivors include, his sister, Glenda Ragland Kelsoe (Wayne); nephew, Cody Kelsoe (Christa); great niece, Lyla Kelsoe; one great-niece or nephew on the way; best friend, Bruce Smith; and a host of extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Cody Kelsoe, Sam Williams, Adam Shadden, Mike Reynolds, Bruce Smith and Wesley Freeman.
Roy Watts
Falkville
Funeral service for Roy Watts, 81 of Falkville was held Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 3:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Phillip Hardin and Brother Darrell Mosley officiating with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Mr. Watts, who was born September 20, 1942, in Morgan County to Loid Watts and Lou Annie Chaney Watts, died on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at his home. Roy retired from Monsanto Chemical Company where he worked in shipping and receiving. He enjoyed farming was a good Christian man and was a member of New Life Church in Falkville.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Tanner Watts; son, Tony Watts (Johnna); daughter, Tina Summerford (Tom); rother, Jackie Watts; seven grandchildren, Chad Summerford (Dee), Trey Summerford (Stephanie), Zac Watts (Sarah) and Kari Watts; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jud, Grant, Tenley and Wesley Summerford
Zac Watts, Chad Summerford, Trey Summerford, Tim Laney, Keith Blackwood and Tom Summerford served as pallbearers.
Jud, Grant and Wesley Summerford will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Gideons International or to the Youth Fund at New Life Church.
David Beggs

Funeral service for David Beggs, 55, of Somerville was held Monday, April
15, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Geoff Halbrooks
officiating and burial in the Valhermoso Springs Cemetery with Peck Funeral
Home directing.
David, who was born June 20, 1968, in Decatur, to Melvin Freddie
Beggs and Cora Belle Spurlin Beggs, died on Friday, April 12, 2024, at
Huntsville Hospital.
David had worked 34 years at GE in maintenance. David loved nature,
traveling and being outdoors. You could find him out on his farm with his
cattle or just enjoying a ride on his Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Blake Beggs and his twin
sister, Danita Beggs Nash.
Survivors include his fiancé’, Lisa Markey; daughter, Ashlee Beggs Prince (Corey); stepson, Jeremy Woodall (Kristiea); brothers, Jeff Beggs (Selisa) and Joe Beggs; four grandchildren, Jordan Woodall, Briley Alexander, Zeke Woodall, and Kynzlee Woodall.
Jon Durham, Tim Anders, Gary Brasher, Tim Beggs, Scott Bleything and Rick
McLemore will serve as pallbearers.

Carl “Jim” Monk
A funeral service for Carl “Jim” Monk was held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Geoff Halbrooks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The burial was at Hartselle City Cemetery. Mr. Monk was born on March 25, 1946, to Hollis and Fleda Monk in Cullman County. He died on April 12, 2024, at his residence.
Carl “Jim” Monk graduated from Morgan County High School and retired from truck driving with Arab Cartage and express as a hot shot driver. He still enjoyed his greatest passion of restoring old Ford trucks and dealing in Ford car parts. Jim loved his family, his lifelong friends, his cats (Goose and Chloe) and going to car shows. Mr. Monk was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Larry and Holland Monk, and one sister-in-law Beth Monk.
Survivors Include, his son, Carl Jason Monk; daughter, Lisa Monk Stewart (Van); brother: Frank Monk; sister-in-law, Mavis Monk; two grandchildren, Hannah and Heather Stewart.
Pallbearers were Van Stewart, Joe Watson, Brian Davis, Keith Monk, Scott Moore and Dee Monk.
Maebelle Loftin
Hartselle
Maebelle Loftin, 77, of Hartselle, passed on to heaven while surrounded by her family at home.
She was preceded in death by her father John Will Story, Jr., her mother Eunice Cash Story, and her brother Edgar Story.
She was born and raised in Newnan, Ga. She had lived in Hartselle since 1974.
Maebelle was a loving, dedicated mother and wife. She was an avid reader. She also enjoyed researching family history and Genealogy. She was passionate about her many plants and flowers. She had a great love of animals, especially her beloved dogs through the years.
Maebelle is survived by her sister Geneva Story Williams, her husband of 57 years, Joel Loftin, her son Michael Loftin, and her daughters Sharon and April Loftin.
A visitation was held at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle, on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. There will be a private family service with Bishop Wayne Nisley and Chaplain Rich Thompson ministering. The burial was at Herring Cemetery.
Andrea “Nikki” Sutton
Hartselle
A visitation service for Andrea “Nikki” Sutton, 29, was held Sunday, April
14, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home. No other services are
scheduled.
Miss Sutton passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024. She was born April 3,
1995, in Morgan County, to Tommy Dale Sutton and Angela Lenz Sutton. She
was preceded in death by her grandfather, Tommy E. Sutton.
Survivors include her father, Tommy Dale Sutton; mother, Angela Lenz Sutton; son, Dylan Carter Mercer; daughters, Rayna Paisley Mercer and Hadley Grace Mercer; and brother, Andrew Sutton (Rebecca); grandparents, Gary Skovira (Linda); grandparents, Jimmy Lenz (Sandy); grandmother, Sue Eckles; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
